We don’t think of Zulutime Pilot so much as a flight school but rather as an incubator of new aviators who share our passion for flight as well as our core values of safety, integrity, responsibility, quality and reliability. A little bit about Julie

Julie’s emphasis on systematic study, mastery of fundamentals, building a proper foundation for future learning, developing pilot-in-command attitude and aeronautical decision-making pervades the Zulutime Pilot culture. Julie discourages students from orienting their training primarily to pass their checkride. Rather, in Julie’s words: “A student pilot must make the effort to master the all necessary skills – many of them mental – that will qualify you to be a pilot-in-command of an aircraft; through that effort, you will have forged yourself into a pilot. The examiner is evaluating you from the minute she lays eyes on you and will size you up as a pilot in the blink of an eye. Before you ever get near the airplane the examiner will have made up her mind that you are likely to pass or fail, and the checkride itself will just serve as validation. A sharp examiner will probe to see if your knowledge is based on real understanding or rote memorization. If your entire pilot persona – skills, knowledge, confidence, maturity, judgment and attitude—has not yet ripened, an examiner is unlikely to pass you.” Julie is a regular contributor to various aviation publications on general aviation subjects and writes a column on flight instruction for Business and Commercial Aviation.

A little bit about Jason

Born and raised in Beijing, Jason has always had a special passion for airplanes and flight, and countless hours of his adolescent life were spent reading about aviation, building aircraft models, and flying PC-based simulators. In 2001, Jason left China to pursue higher education in the U.S. and earned an MBA in finance. One sunny afternoon in 2004, at a little airport next to the Hudson River, he did something unthinkable at that time in China: he took control of a Cessna 152! Eleven years later Jason is an active flight instructor, both in piston airplanes and in several Falcon jet models. In Jason’s words: “Flying, with all its thrill and beauty, is totally liberating. Teaching flying has its own unique challenges, intrigue and rewards. I wouldn’t mind doing both for good. As a matter of fact, I wouldn’t choose otherwise.” In addition to his MBA, Jason also holds a Masters degree in Aviation Operations and Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. For the past 4 years he has been Business Development Manager for Dassault Falcon Jet, focusing on flight and customer support operations in Asia and the United States. Jason was, and still is, a die hard Robotech fan.

课程

ZTG 101 私照地面课程

本课程遵循经FAA认证的141部训练课程大纲,为学生全方位准备私照飞行员应该具备的基本航空知识。课程包括航空医学、飞机结构及系统、空气动力学、法律法规、机场/空域、飞行管理、应急程序、夜间作业、气象理论和天气信息、VFR导航以及航空决策。课程结束时,学生将被签注参加私照飞行员理论知识笔试。

ZTF 102 私照飞行训练课程

课程内容包括由FAA认证的飞行教员带飞和单飞。带飞授课涵盖以下方面的教学内容:飞行前操作,重量平衡计算,风险管理,飞行决策,飞行计划,启动飞机,在有塔台控制机场和无塔台控制机场的五边起降规程和操作,无线电沟通,避免空中对撞意识和操控,目视地面参照物的操控飞行动作,慢飞,识别失速并正确的改出失速,争取地操控起飞和着陆。此外,该课程还将包括在只看仪表状态下如何正确解读飞机状态并准确地操控飞机,在无线电协助或雷达引导下紧急下降或爬升。通过解读航图,推算航位执行转场飞行等。

ZTF 201 仪表地面课程

该课程的设置为学生提供的训练,满足FAA对仪表等级知识和技术的要求,训练内容包括:航空人为因素,仪器仪表,空气动力学,法规,空域,ATC系统和航空英语,IFR导航,飞机操控,紧急程序,IFR作业,事故分析。课程结束时学生应掌握相应知识,并将被签注参加FAA仪表等级地面知识笔试。 前提条件:FAA私照飞行员

ZTF 202 仪表飞行课程

本课程涵盖了仅参考飞行仪表条件下的精确操控飞行,通过使用VOR和GPS(包括时间,速度和距离的计算)进行IFR导航,遵守空中交通管制的指令和程序。此外还包括使用VOR, GPS, LOC和ILS近进系统正确执飞仪表近进,模拟或实际IFR天气条件下沿IFR航路的转场飞行等,都将详细讲解。 前提条件:FAA私照飞行员

ZTG 301 商照地面课程

该课程的设置满足了FAA对单引擎商照飞行员的技能要求。课程内容包括:航空医学,机组资源管理,单引擎复杂飞机系统,空气动力学,法规,飞前准备及要求,飞行作业,飞行操控,紧急程序,空域,气象学,IFR操作,转场飞行计划,航空决策等。课程结束时学生应掌握相应知识,并将被签注参加FAA商照地面知识笔试。 前提条件:FAA私照,仪表等级

ZTG 302 商照飞行课程

课程内容包括由FAA认证的飞行教员带飞和单飞。教员带飞部分在复杂飞机(可收放起落架,可收放襟翼,恒定RPM/可变螺旋桨叶片角度的飞机)里完成,涵盖以下教学内容:白天和夜间两次转场飞行,出发机场和降落机场亮点直线距离不少于100海里,飞行时间不低于2小时,飞机最大性能操控动作,短跑道及软地跑道的起飞降落,目视地面参照物操控动作,复杂飞机的紧急程序,失速意识和改出等。10个小时单飞中包括一个不低于300海里的转场飞行,至少三个落地点,其中一条航路不低于250海里。单飞还包括5个小时夜间目视飞行,在有塔台控制的机场完成10个五边飞行和起降。 前提条件:FAA私照仪表等级

ZTG 310 商照多发等级地面课程
